Context

Following an investment by Norea Capital and a change in leadership, Motrec wanted to reach a new stage of development and strengthen its position as a major player in its industry. Already present in 48 of the 50 US states as well as 10 other countries, the company had a solid foundation to accelerate its growth.

The project

Melka supported the management team and the investor in a strategic planning exercise aimed at identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities with the highest potential for value creation. The analysis of the business environment and market trends established a common fact base to align strategic decisions around the most promising priorities. Initiatives were prioritized according to their impact and feasibility enabling resources to focus on the most promising growth levers and accelerate execution.

A strategic off-site meeting aligned management around a clear vision, quantified objectives, and a concrete action plan. The newly formed team was participating in such a collaborative exercise for the first time. Through this process, Motrec was able to move from opportunistic growth to structured, value-creating growth by strengthening its existing markets, identifying new high-potential segments, and structuring its international expansion.
